So I watched a documentary with Ryan, my friend and RA tonight. She and I could not stop talking about this movie while we were watching it. The color was amazing and the story, brilliant. A woman went to Calcutta, India and went into the red light district to try and photograph. She found that the women did not want to have their pictures taken but their children were more than willing.Over time she began to know the families and started putting cameras in the childrens hands. She taught them how to take pictures, what to look for, and how to appreciate the art. The kids have won awards and many have been given incredible opportunities because their pictures have recieved international attention. Here are some.
